Who we are
The Greater Manchester Research Engagement Network (GM REN) is a collaboration between NHS Greater Manchester, the National Institute for Health and Care Research Applied Research Collaboration: Greater Manchester, Vocal and the Caribbean and African Health Network CIC.
For the purposes of UK Data Protection Act 2018, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is the data controller.

Events photography and video
Photographs and video recordings in which you may be identifiable
We only collect newsletter information that you choose to provide when you sign up to receive our newsletter. Photographs and videos are taken at GM REN events with your prior consent.
How we use your information
We will use the personal information you provide to:
· send you newsletters and updates about the GM REN
· promote health research engagement activities and the work of the GM REN, including, but not limited to, on our website, social media channels, and in print materials
Newsletter communications: we rely on your consent to send you newsletters. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting us directly.
Photographs and videos: we rely on your consent to use your image. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting info@gm-research-charter.org
Please note that we are unable to remove images from materials that have already been printed or published.
We will not use your information for any other purpose.
Sharing your information
Your information will be accessible to the partner organisations that make up the Greater Manchester Research Engagement Network.
We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
We may use trusted third-party services (such as email distribution platforms) to send newsletters. These providers will only process your data on our behalf and in line with data protection requirements.
